About Our Dried Chubby Mixes
Chubby Mix is our own blend, put together so that one bag covers what two or three otherwise would. The Original Mix pairs dried mealworms with black soldier fly larvae, so you get the fat and protein of the mealworm alongside the calcium of the calciworm in a single scoop.
Variety is the real reason to buy a mix. Different birds go for different things, and a garden feeding station that offers more than one insect will pull in more species than one that does not. The Poultry Mix is built around what laying hens need instead.
Every order ships free across Australia with GST included, and the price per kilo drops as the bag size goes up. Mixes store exactly like our single-insect bags: cool, dry, resealed after each feed, no refrigeration.

What is in the Chubby Mixes?
50/50 Dried mealworms and dried black soldier fly larvae, and nothing else. No fillers, no additives, just worms.
Is a mix better value than buying bags separately?
Per kilo it sits between the two, and you save on the second bag and the second delivery. If you already know your birds only want mealworms, buy mealworms. If you are feeding a mixed garden, the mix wins.
Which animals can eat it?
Wild garden birds, chickens and other poultry, reptiles, fish, bandicoots and small animals. It is a treat rather than a complete feed, so serve it alongside a balanced diet.
How should I store it?
Somewhere cool and dry with the bag resealed after each use. No refrigeration is needed.
Is it safe for human consumption?
No. Our insects are an animal feed only and are clearly labelled NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
